Notes: First time I'd seen them since 1988, when I was a regular at Fall gigs. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will certainly try to see them again soon. As people commented on the Fall forum, Mark E Smith turned down the guitar amp to ruin the hook on Wings and also mucked around with the bass amp which had an adverse effect on the sound. Sound was loud and generally pretty muddy where I stood. Crowd really into it - most lively gig I've seen at Leamington apart from the Cribs. Brought my knackered battery box instead of the good one by mistake, so had to plug mics directly into the iRiver. Luckily got away with it and the mics seemed to just about handle the volume. Rolled off the bass quite a bit in post production as normal with these mics to make it a more pleasant listen. Missing my CA-11 cards which are knackered which give me much better results and never require any fiddling with the recording afterwards looking forward to getting replacements in the post soon. Think I've got the track splits about right, I used the setlist posted on the forum and selist FM as a basis for this. Sorry if some are a bit off where songs merged into one another. No one listed track 12 on the forum or stelist FM between I'm Not from Bury and Psykick Dancehall, but it sounds like a separate track to me so I've split it. Help with title appreciated. Also taped this with a back up rig, ECM-719/iRiver, which I'll stick up sometime over the weekend if I get time. The other recording is lacking in bass as the mic has a low cut off at 100Hz, big contrast to this one. Finally, thanks to everyone that posts Fall shows - I don't download them all as I just never get the chance to listen to that many, but I always enjoy reading the threads. And one request, what does a Edirol Dalek hat look like? mp3 samples attached
