No manual recording levels set here. I didn’t have that luxury due to getting to the venue minutes before the band came on stage. Bloody armature! I think the mic behaved itself well enough though with my unit’s automatic level. It’s not ‘low in the mix’, put it that way. I was sitting near to the front left, so I get plenty of Tim Presley’s messy guitar sound. The security was very tight at this place, and stuff like flash photography was pounced upon immediately. There are a couple of times when I have to shield the mic from their view, which might briefly affect levels. I was pretty nervous to be honest, but got away with it.

Sparta needs a little explanation. During this crowd pleaser, a selection of the crowd decide dance in front of the stage. The venue staff remove all the offenders pretty quickly, apart from one slippery customer who keeps escaping their grasp. The boos and cheers are him getting away and then being re-captured.

Mountain Energei back to the traditional COTC version. I have Reformation and Mr P as one track, as it was played on the night.

You will never hear a better Reformation and Sparta. Pretty sure about the others as well J This gig kicked arse.

Strange venue and atmosphere, but this is a band giving it 100%. I hope you enjoy it. HPAFP.
