THE FALL - 1981-07-10 - Berkeley (U.S.A.) Keystone [soundboard] The Fall The Keystone, Berkeley, California, U.S.A. 10th July 1981 2nd or 3rd generation (possibly higher gen.) copy of a mixing desk recording This show was included as bonus filler material on the 2nd of the 2 TDK-SA cassettes of the Wellington Victoria Univerity 19th August 1982 that I uploaded recently on DIME, and which I originally got in a tape trade with a trader "down under" (can't recall exactly which one) sometime in the early to mid 1980's, so obviously it must be at least 2nd generation, and possibly of a higher generation than that. However, the sound quality is pretty good overall (although there is some "weirdness" on tracks 04 - 08, probably caused by tape azimuth alignment problems during one of the previous generations), and in most places comparable to other copies that I've heard and which are floating around (albeit, only as lossily encoded versions) elsewhere "here and there" on the web - however, since I have done no noise reduction on it, this version does have some slight hiss on it, which is maybe not so noticeable on those other lossy versions (either because those are from a lower generation source, or have been put through some kind of NR before converting to mp3 or whatever). Also, note that my original tape does have written on it a date of a week later, i.e. 17th July 1981, although from the general consensus about this show elsewhere on the internet, I'm assuming this must be a mistake.
