The Fall. O2 Academy, Newcastle. Monday, 18 April 2016 Venice with the Girls Bury First One Today Dedication Not Medication Wise O'l Man Over! Over! Auto-Chip 2014-2016 Wolf Kidult Man Theme from Sparta F.C. Pledge Facebook Troll Mr. Rode White Lightning (instr.) This was a gig I really wanted to do as I’ve seen a lot of Geordie Shore on the telly and it seems like a fun place for culture and arts. But my wife said no and my wife is the law, and the law one. So I sent big Phil from Leeds instead as he can put himself around a bit, and to be fair I did send big Tock and Bigbopper to North Wales which meant those two scallywags (calm down, calm down) could sup a few ales instead of behaving themselves on the orders of the Consortium chief in command. So without me holding their hand we get big Phil from Leeds recording this gig on one single channel? I mean I ask you, leave them alone for one second and this is what happens. Anyway, fear not this has been sorted and the single channel has been duplicated into a mono recording of very acceptable quality. I just hope big Phil from Leeds hasn’t fucked my mics, but I suspect he didn’t push them home properly into the battery box or Tascam or wherever. But it sounds bloody fine to my ears anyway. I lobe Over Over and Pledge, but this is a bit of a free for all and anyone’s guess as Mister Rode crops up to get us scratching our chins and wondering about life without keyboards etc. Etc. I think The Fall are going through one of those caterpillar into butterfly periods right now. Roll on London. Huge thanks to Phil Hardy for recording this.
