Hanleyfender's local gig.

This is a cracker. I think you'll get that impresseion when Spur's bass slams in at the beginning of OFYC. I know there were plenty of other tapers at this gig, so I'm a bit surprised I'm the fisrt up this. This is The Fall in the sort of groove we've not seen for a while. MES just can't stop smiling, and the entire band look relaxed at this Sussex venue which is right next to a nudist beach. This has got bollock rattling bass from start to finish. All the instruments are pretty will mixed, but it's a shame we don't get more guitar. I think this is one of my better recordings. Vox nice and high in the mix.

Recorded dead centre, just behind the mosh. The Consortium don't do comfortable, because the Fall aint a comfortable band.

I spotted Foxyducker to my right, gave directions to Frank Skinner in Kemp Town (I don't know Kemp Town), showed Jim Watts my new hat, and Ed Blaney introduced me to the very nice girls of Girl Peculiar.

I just love Fall gigs me!
