Well, Kieron is off having a baby so ex ‘gales drummer Darren is drafted in to the band for this Christmas jolly in a freezing cold Cologne. I never really beg for a song, but after going all the way to, and even getting my boy to book a hotel right by COLOGNE TRAIN STATION, the buggers never played What About Us!!!

I’ll get over it.

If you, like me are very used to Melling drums, then you may need to adjust your ears for this one. Darren is a little different, but as he did record the Remainderer EP with Kieron, the boy does know his Fall. Melling and Darren on some double drumming live? Yes please. 

There are some crackers here, but the really big Christmas cracker is Mister Rode. MES lets this roll on and on, and it gets better and better as it goes.

I’m right by Pete for this one and you won’t be complaining about lack of guitar!!

You’ll want to grab this one for the new drumming style alone. 

Wash this lot down with some mulled wine.
