This was the first time I saw The Fall. A day that will live long in the memory, nineteen years old, fantastic line-up. Several bands who were on the verge of much bigger things (James, Primal Scream, The Farm) and several others who remain amongst my favourite live bands of that era (New Fast Automatic Daffodils, Bridewell Taxis). The Fall turned in a great set, MES leaning on a lectern throughout. Can also remember decent sets from Cud, The Man From Delmonte, Bradford, Hollowmen and Pale Saints. Frank Sidebottom compering, as I recall.
